The ENERGITE® III sand barrel array is a gating, non-redirective crash cushion consisting of a configuration of sand-filled modules. Each module in the array consists of a one-piece barrel, a lid, and in some cases, a cone insert.

The ENERGITE® III sand barrel array is a gating, non-redirective crash cushion consisting of a configuration of sand-filled modules. Each module in the array consists of a one-piece barrel, a lid, and in some cases, a cone insert. The ENERGITE® III is tested to NCHRP Report 350 Test Level 1, Test Level 2, and Test Level 3. It can be installed in both permanent and work zone applications and can be used to shield fixed objects in low frequency areas.

Features and Benefits:

  • Solid barrel bottom helps facilitate lifting and transporting of barrels when assembled and filled.
