The SoftStop® System by Valtir is a tangent, single-sided, energy-absorbing, redirective, and gating end terminal designed for W-beam guardrail systems. Tested to MASH 2016 Test Level 3 criteria, it effectively dissipates energy during head-on impacts by guiding the W-beam through the impact head, while also redirecting vehicles during side impacts. Its narrow head design minimizes interference with maintenance operations like mowing and snow removal.
